We congratulate Hendricks County Parks and Recreation on purchasing 140 acres of farmland to use for its 3rd park!! This park will most likely have trails built too. The Center Grove Trails, Inc. mission statement states we support the creation and awareness of accessible, connected, multi-use trails system along roads, waterways, and other routes for the use and enjoyment of all. Our focus is not on county parks, but, we wanted to show our support for trails that can be inside the new park in Hendricks County. Now, if there were trails outside this park that a person could use to connect their home to this park, that would be grand! Congratulations! |

How many times have you wished there was a safe, pedestrian bridge on Stones Crossing Road just east of the School Administration building? The current bridge is old, narrow, and unsafe for students to cross on foot or bicycle. Center Grove Trails is working with a group of people that want to see a pedestrian bridge crossing the creek on Stones Crossing Road so that people can now have a safe way to get to the high school, middle school, and elementary school using the existing sidewalks. The goal is to have the bridge completed by 2013! Keep watching this website for updates to this exciting project for the Center Grove area. |

Center Grove Trails is working with the Greenways Foundation to sign petitions for approval of a new specialty license plate to show support for trails in Indiana. The license plate will be only $40 and of that $25 goes towards the promotion of trails, linear parks for biking, hiking, walking, and canoeing in Indiana. Please show your support by downloading a petition at www.greenwaysfoundation.org, getting 20 signatures, and mailing the original copy to the Greenways Foundation, PO Box 80091, Indianapolis, IN 46280-0091 by March 22, 2010. Thank you! |

We welcome the public to attend our meetings which are held monthly at White River Library at 7PM. We are currently working on adding information to our website to make it easier for you to plan to attend. If you would like more information please send an email. We would like to know your thoughts on the possible Government Reorganization currently being studied between unincorporated White River Township and Greenwood. For example, do you think unincorporated White River Township will have the planning and funding to build trails or bike lanes throughout the community of Center Grove if the area remains unincorporated? Happy Trails! |
